All Things Paper
I am a Paper Collage Artist. Most of my career was spent in Corporate America. I finished my career as the Creative Director for a fortune 500 company where I was responsible for the creative direction of projects and programs like national sporting events, company and community programs and major art exhibition sponsorships at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I now dedicate my life to my love of paper and all I can create with it. My art is made of all paper, there is no paint applied to my canvas. My artwork looks like a painting from a distance but up close you see all the layers, patterns, mark making and textures that make-up my creations. I also make my own paper. I feel there’s magic in the smallest things in life, for me it’s in the bits and pieces of paper. I have studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia College of Art, Philadelphia Printing School, Arcadia University as well as attending workshops at the Abington Art Center and the Woodmere Art Museum. I have traveled to Italy and made paper with a Master Papermaker. I was interviewed on The Heart Of The City Radio Program, My work is apart of Yale University's The Black Sound and The Archive Working Group, Featured in The Art and Council, Written about in the Chestnut Hill Local paper as well as on the cover of What's Happening Philly Magazine. My work has been selected for juried exhibitions and have I exhibited at The Moody Jones Gallery, Rydal Park, Mt. Airy Arts Garage and The October Gallery. E and S Gallery in Louisville Kentucky currently represent my work and me.
